PZL Mielec Completes the Assembly of the S-70i Black Hawk to Brunei Armed Forces

TSAMTO - Polish company PZL Mielec (part of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation) completed the assembly of the next helicopter S-70i «Black Hawk", intended to Brunei Armed Forces.

According Gazeta.pl, March 18 at the airport Melzi, a demonstration of the helicopter company representatives "Sikorsky" and the media.

After completion of the flight testing and acceptance procedures helicopter will be sent to the customer. This is the 28th S-70i Black Hawk made by the Polish division. Helicopters Polish assembly also delivered to Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Colombia.

As previously reported TSAMTO, Ministry of Defence of Brunei December 2, 2011 signed with "Sikorsky International" contract for the purchase of 12 multipurpose helicopters S-70i "Black Hawk International" as well as the supply of ground support equipment, spare parts and services for the results of the tender.

The cost of machinery is not officially announced. According to "Jane's Defence Weekly", it is 325 million dollars. The agreement includes an option to supply an additional 10 helicopters.


The first batch of four helicopters arrived in Brunei at the end of 2013.
